As "ritual", bare-chested "minors" (i.e. girls with breasts not covered) are kept in Madurai temples for one week "under the supervision of male priests"; the vulgar motive is obvious: to have an orgy of sex with these "kumaris"/"virgins", just as "devdasis" ("servants" - prostitutes - of the "gods") in many Indian "temples" are required to do.
