It is clear to Me that the main characters Colin, Mary, Dickon in "THE SECRET GARDEN" are Mary = "hippy" Ms. Z, Dickon (sounds like Dickens) = "hippy" Z, Colin/Young Rajah = Me! The theme of the novel is extremely important for the entire human race: immortality! The title of Chapter 20: "I Shall Live Forever - And Ever - And Ever!" says in a simple sentence that immortality will soon become possible. (The Secret Garden reminds Me of the originally blissful Garden of Eden. - G)
