Anna Hazare
Yesterday evening I suddenly heard NEWS 18 অসম reporting (VERY BRIEFLY) that [the powerful Indian ANTI-CORRUPTION ACTIVIST] Anna Hazare would be addressing a public meeting today in GUWAHATI (where I live), capital of Assam, a very corrupt State of India, like all other Indian States - I heard the same news on NEWS 18 অসম again this morning - but WHERE in Guwahati and WHEN (from what time today) NEWS 18 অসম did not mention - all the other local Assamese TV news channels seemed completely silent about the Anna Hazare meeting. Elderly and clean Anna Hazare seems to Me to be the only Indian (other than God in human form) who thinks for the vast number of poor cheated Indians who constitute over 99.99% of the population and so I thought the good guy (who must be about 90) was worth My powerful support. But I DID NOT KNOW where to find him. I stopped reading newspapers a few years ago - interesting private TV news channels make dailies superfluous for Me, to put it bluntly - I only buy the Sunday issues of The Assam Tribune (I only read interesting articles and short stories if there are any in the Sunday reading section) and The Sentinel (I only read interesting pieces in melange magazine if there are any) and, of late, the Bong daily যুগশঙ্খ every day (I read mainly only the jokes section, if an issue has jokes) - I asked an auto driver if he had any idea WHERE Anna Hazare was going to give his speech - he had no idea - but he thought maybe at Khanapara - I thought maybe at Chandmari field where book fairs are held every year and where Anna Hazare addressed a public meeting about two years ago which I attended - maybe at the Press Club, he said - I went to a shop that sells news papers to find out (if possible) - JUST AS our joint effort yielded the much-needed information from an Assamese daily - perhaps প্ৰতিদিন, but I am not sure - that the Anna Hazare meet was at 10 a.m. at Press Club at Ambari, the young auto driver (who had gone to search for the information independently - auto drivers are facing a stiff competition from Uber and Olay cabs) ALSO came back with the same identical information - BUT the Anna Hazare meet at the Press Club was at 10 a.m. - and it was already past 11 a.m. Still, I decided to try My luck - never mind My pocket would be sans some hard-earned currency notes - I reached at about 11:20 - I asked a tall and courteous young Assamese guy who looked like an Assamese journalist if the Anna Hazare meet was over - yes, he said, and Anna Hazare has left. TV news channels did not give details of the public meeting (where and when), I told him with regret in My voice. A case of very amusing "censorship" by aliens. Arvind Kejriwal - who has NOT enacted the Lokpal Act in the Delhi Legislative Assembly despite his Aam Aadmi Party getting 67 seats out of 70 in the Assembly election (BJP got 3 seats, Congress 0) - 67 AAP MLAs out of 70 MLAs yet LOKPAL BILL HAS NOT BEEN PASSED by AAP - it is very obvious that "Arvind Kejriwal" is AN ALIEN CHEAT like all the other male and female alien cheats in his आम आदमी पार्टि Aam Aadmi Party.
